TV Network Spot Integration for All Univision stations for
Univision & Telefutura Networks
All Univision and Entravision owned Univision / Telefutura TV
affiliates now use Power-Link to integrate their local
commercials into the network log.
This automatically places local spots into the correct time /
program slot as well as checking for product related issues (did
we just place a local Walmart spot adjacent to a network Kmart
spot?)..
The operators now work from a single composite log showing
network events with local events highlighted in the playlist
lineup. Also the digital playback devices now get a full
log formatted to correct show and play the integrated log in an
optimal manner.
It is reported that they are saving at least 2 employee hours
per station/broadcast day using these custom routines.
Also this has proven to be a more thorough method of finding
spot avail fill errors as well as detecting new product code
violations.

Linking
to Promo Schedulers Many of
our large market users were looking for a way to automatically incorporate "promo play list" generated by (for instance) RCS's Selector/LinkerŪ into the daily play list based on the traffic system scheduling a unique "link
cart". This special (replaced) event was scheduled by the traffic system because it knew that the "avail" was there. Power-Link will automatically incorporate those into the play list merging traffic and
promotion's play list into one easy to see and handle play list bound for the digital playback system.
Day Part "Smart" Reconcile
Now users have the ability to define
custom "day parts". Power-Link will insure that the events scheduled in a day part are truly aired
during that day part. If your station has high priority day parts, this feature will provide additional assurance of an
accurate airing and billing.

Templates Recently working with the assistance of a top rated station in New York City, we discovered that the promotions director wanted direct and total control
and placement of daily promos to be aired. the mission was: What would be the best way to create, edit, and assign a daily "play-list" of the promos to air for a specific day? Power-TEMP with

Templates, was the answer. With it, they can now create, maintain and assign a lineup of events to be automatically merged in to the daily traffic events. Promo play-list can be scheduled infinitely into advance and reused to make the daily assignment simple and quick. So whether its daily repeated events that needed to be added to the play-list or assigned on a one-day basis, or both; the Power-Link / Power-TEMP programs are meeting the traffic/promotions and programming departments expectations and needs.

activity? (perfect for producing network affidavits) It can now be viewed and printed from Power-Link in seconds. Powerful search criteria can build reports spanning the date range of
your interest. This is a great way to provide information for network affidavits or satisfy the curiosity of a client or sales person. Search by name (as known by either traffic or digital playback system ), cart
number , date or any combination. Its powerful, quick and easy and provides a great tool for regular or occasional reports of airplay activity.

years Power-Link has provided innovative solutions for template needs for clients of particularly difficult scheduling systems, now we make that technology available to all in the convenient settling of Power-Link.
Now, as your schedule is being transferred and converted to the automation's format, the template can be an automatic addition. This feature saves untold hours of formatting hassles and keeps your traffic
system from having all of the clutter and confusion of being responsible for ALL of the needed elements to take advantage of all of the many features of the digital automation system.
Stop Continuity Errors! Are the right commercials airing? Power-Link's reconciliation now has the ability to make sure that the spots that aired are the correct advertiser and copy. By
comparing the Scheduled event's title to the returned event's title, Power-Link can catch continuity errors literally as they are happening. Also the spot's duration's can be checked and reported on. In the
"Recon View" area of the station's configuration, Power-Link can be configured to visit this function each and every time that a reconcile is run. This insures that the user looks over any title mismatches that have
occurred in the reconciliation. Immediately there after it can be similarly configured to show the user any aired events whose duration appears to significantly in error. The results of the two recent additions
can quickly alert your traffic department to erroneous clients and wrong copy airing for every broadcast day that is processed! This feature alone has recently proven itself extremely valuable as it
makes sure that the Correct Advertiser ran. And coming in a future upgrade, will have the ability to STOP THE WRONG COMMERCIAL FROM PLAYING, IN ADVANCE. Our sophisticated title comparison routines will
find Events that have the same cart but contain the wrong advertiser.
Make
Quick Status changes in Reconcile (i.e. save even more time) Occasionally there are times
that the traffic person overrides Power-Link's reconcile findings. For these "exceptions" Power-Link is the only reconciliation package that offers the much needed "interactive reconciliation". As long as
there is radio there will surely be commercials that aired or did not air, contrary to the reporting of the digital playback system. In version 4.9 we have introduced quick keystrokes that change either a single event's
status or potentially a list of "marked" event's status'.
"Smart-Carts" for rotating cart issues Power-Link is the only
reconciler that has "smart cart" equations for rotating carts. This means that if you schedule a rotating cart (a cart number that potentially triggers the playing of another cart) you most likely will NOT get back the same cart number for that event.
Reconcilers that come "packaged" with some traffic systems don't seem to realize this! Power-Link knows the rotating cart numbering characteristics of your automation system and considers it when reconciling.
Along with our unique "Smart Carts" Power-Link's "AKA" abilities (see details below) are at your disposal for equating unlike cart numbers and entire ranges of carts. You'll be set to reconcile most any odd
combination of cart numbers.
